ESAB's sucessfullly attending 15th ESSEN Fair in Beijing

The 15th Beijing Essen Welding & Cutting Fair was held between the 27th and the 30th of May 2010 at the new China International Exhibition Center in Beijing. Ranking in the top 2 international welding and cutting shows in the world, Beijing Essen Welding & Cutting Fair is a yearly event, alternately held in Beijing and Shanghai, the two largest economic centers and most popular trade fair cities in China.

This year there were 973 exhibitors from more than 30 countries with a total exhibition space of 92,400 m2. The first information from the organizer showed that the fair attracted more than 40,000 visitors from 73 countries.

Covering more than 300 m2, Esab allied all of its subsidiary companies in China to exhibit on the same booth. This initiative demonstrated the rapid growth and a strong presence of Esab group in China, as well as its commitment to providing satisfactory welding, cutting and automation solutions to the China market.

Seeing is believing. This year, Esab's main theme "Let's Talk Productivity" is mainly communicated through eight live demonstrations of our target segments applications including nuclear, transportation and shipbuilding. All demonstration areas were packed with interested customers and at the end of each demo, the visitors still stayed showing great interests and consulting with Esab field engineers.

Apart from the live demos and static displays the Esab brand values were also presented at the background of our main reception area and via a large screen mounted on top of the main wall.

The China Welding Industry Forum (CWIF) also took place during the period of Beijing Essen with "Welding Automation" as the main topic this year. We were delighted to have Mr. Martin Kubenka, Group Product Manager for Stainless SAW here to give a presentation on Alloyed fluxes in submerged arc welding and strip cladding applications of stainless steels and Ni based materials. The presentation received warm and positive feedbacks and quality leads.

Running the show independently for the first time, Esab China considers it a successful one. In the meantime, we would like to take the chance to thank all Esab colleagues who has supported and contributed to the smooth run and success of the show.
